Terms & Conditions

Your booking

Bookings can be made by telephone or via email. They must, however, be confirmed by returning a copy of the completed and signed Booking Form and deposit within 7 days. On receipt we will send confirmation by post. No contract exists until the written confirmation is issued. The maximum number of guests is 2. All bookings are accepted at the proprietor’s discretion.

Payment of balance

Full payment must be received no later than 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. When bookings are made within 6 weeks of the start date of the holiday then full payment must accompany the completed and signed Booking Form.

Cancellation

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your holiday the date of cancellation will be the day on which written communication of cancellation is received by us. Please notify us as soon as possible either by telephone or email. If, having made a booking, you wish to cancel it, the deposit will not be returned to you. Further, if the cancellation is less than 6 weeks before the start of the booking, you will remain liable to pay the full amount of the booking to us. If, in this situation we are able, in the normal course of our business, to rebook Valentine Lodge for all or part of the cancelled period, then we will subsequently repay or credit to you some or all of other booking cost, less £50 administration costs. The amount repaid will be linked, pro rata, to the amount for which we are able to rebook Valentine Lodge after your cancellation.

We strongly recommend that you ensure you have adequate Holiday Insurance cover against the possibility of cancellation.

The individual making the booking is responsible for all payments due in respect of the booking and that these conditions are complied with by all occupants.

Complaints

It is important to us that you enjoy your holiday. In the unlikely event that you have a problem whilst staying at Valentine Lodge please inform us immediately so that we can resolve the problem as soon as possible. In the event that we are unable, after full investigation, to put the problem right we will make a refund, the maximum amount of which will be equal to the unexpired holiday cost. We cannot deal with any complaints after your holiday.
